Creation~~~~~According to Abby

On the first day of creation,
God created the dog.

On the second day,
God created man to serve the dog.

On the third day,
God created all the animals of the earth
to serve as potential food for the dog.

On the fourth day,
God created honest toil so that man
could labor for the good of the dog.

On the fifth day,
God created the tennis ball so that
the dog might or might not retrieve it.

On the sixth day,
God created veterinary science to keep
the dog healthy and the man broke.

On the seventh day,
God tried to rest,
but He had to walk the dog.

A TRUE LOVE STORY

A love story from China
An incredible love story has come out of China recently and managed to touch the world. Posted on July 2, 2008

It is a story of a man and an older woman who ran off to live and love each other in peace for over half a century.

The 70-year-old Chinese man who hand-carved over 6,000 stairs up a mountain for his 80-year-old wife has passed away in the cave which has been the couple's home for the last 50 years.

Over 50 years ago, Liu Guojiang a 19 year-old boy, fell in love with a 29 year-old widowed mother named Xu Chaoqin.

In a twist worthy of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, friends and relatives criticized the relationship because of the age difference and the fact that Xu already had children.

At that time, it was unacceptable and immoral for a young man to love an older woman. To avoid the market gossip and the scorn of their communities, the couple decided to elope and lived in a cave in Jiangjin County in Southern ChongQing Municipality.

In the beginning, life was harsh as hey had nothing, no electricity or even food. They had to eat grass and roots they found in the mountain, and Liu made a kerosene lamp that they used to light up their lives.

Xu felt that she had tied Liu down and repeatedly asked him, 'Are you regretful? Liu always replied, 'As long as we are industrious, life will improve.'

In the second year of living in the mountain, Liu began and continued for over 50 years, to hand-carve the steps so that his wife could get down the mountain easily.

Half a century later in 2001, a group of adventurers were exploring the forest and were surprised to find the elderly couple and the over 6,000 hand-carved steps. Liu MingSheng, one of their seven children said, 'My parents loved each other so much, they have lived in seclusion for over 50 years and never been apart a single day. He hand carved more than 6,000 steps over the years for my mother's convenience, although she doesn't go down the mountain that much.'

The couple had lived in peace for over 50 years until last week. Liu, now 72 years, returned from his daily farm work and collapsed. Xu sat and prayed with her husband as he passed away in her arms. So in love with Xu, was Liu, that no one was able to release the grip he had on his wife's hand even after he had passed away.

'You promised me you'll take care of me, you'll always be with me until the day I died, now you left before me, how am I going to live without you?'

Xu spent days softly repeating this sentence and touching her husband's black coffin with tears rolling down her cheeks. In 2006, their story became one of the top 10 love stories from China , collected by the Chinese Women Weekly. The local government has decided to preserve the love ladder and the place they lived as a museum, so this love story can live forever...

"The Ancient's"

If one’s heart were heavy with regret, unfinished Earth business, or the pull of selfish desires, then the ancient Egyptian -- in this case, Ani -- could not enter the heavens. A beastly creature would eat his heart, and he would have to return to Earth to get a new heart, one light enough to rise into heaven (presumably by reincarnating and living a better life than before).

Do we have light hearts? Or are we carrying around a lot of unresolved issues, unfulfilled desires, the weight of broken dreams and promises, or whatever is weighing on us? The Cayce readings tell the story of an Egyptian high priest named Ra Ta who, at a very old age and in decrepit condition, was able to rejuvenate himself and live another one hundred years, in order to work on the building of the great pyramid of Giza. When Cayce was asked how this priest rejuvenated his aged body, he answered: “through the casting aside of the years of toil and strife through which the body of Ra-Ta itself had passed.” In order words, by letting go of the things that had aged him. We tend to hold on to our pain, our suffering, our sacrifices, and our regrets. All of which age us and weigh our hearts down. Forgive and forget is a much healthier prescription.

PAST LIFE READING

Did you ever think about a past life reading? I did, and this is what I got.
Maybe this is why I am so drawn to "ancient Egypt" and all things from those days.........do you think??

Past life reading:
It is very probable that you experienced the Uranian dimension between earth lives. Almost certainly the most influential of the latter was your lifetime in ancient Atlantis. Combined with your soul sojourn in Uranus, the unusual in all forms -- especially entertainments such as sci-fi and science fantasy -- are likely to be of special interest to you.

An extremist at times, Rose, you are exceptional, eccentric, peculiar to others and last but definitely not least, a classic Atlantean and Aquarian Age individualist. Being strong-minded to the point of too much self-sufficiency at times is also a description which applies to you.

These characteristics are all real efficiencies. With your extremist nature, they are genuinely valuable, unique qualities which you can use for weal or woe this go 'round.

Know your ideal, letting your purposes and dealings with others always be creative and constructive (for we are ever meeting ourselves: what goes out comes back). The main purpose for our manifesting in the earth is for the glorification of God and not just for free thinking and individualism, though we each manifest according to our own purpose.

In past lives, you probably were devoted to the cause of freedom, whether an American pioneer or leader in women's rights like the American suffragettes in the nineteenth century, or involved in such religious freedom movements as the early Christian Church's struggles in Rome or being instrumental in behalf of the native uprisings when the Atlanteans overran ancient Egypt.

Your strong interest in the psychic and esoteric is such that you yourself are likely to be clairvoyant. In the years to come, Rose, if you parallel the natural development of your higher psi faculties with studies of parapsychology, psychological astrology and mystical traditions, you will become more and more attuned.

These advancements are encouraged provided they are used for giving help, understanding and knowledge to others rather than for self-glorification. If used for the latter, your psychic abilities would become a stumblingblock not only to yourself but also to many others who seek your counsel.

SPRING

The day is gorgeous. Not a cloud in the sky. The sun warm. The
air clear and crisp. Clean. The sound of water in the fountain
is merry. The holly trees are full of berries.

Nothing hurts. My heart isn't aching. There are things to do,
but nothing pressing.

The joy of aliveness gushes up through me. The freedom of this
moment... I want to capture... to hold it close to me. The
experience of just now, of being, fills me, pressed down and
flowing over.

Thankfulness and happiness step out to say hello. They've been
on hiatus. I'm glad they're back.

Life

There is only one Life, immortal, eternal.

There is only one Life - renewing, refreshing, reviving,
recreating, regenerating, breathing Life.

There is only the One, and that is Spirit. There is no death
and no need to beseech. The Infinite cannot deny itself. It is
only for us to become aware, to receive Truth.

Gaze upon the All That Is. Not the material world, but Spirit
that is Life, Spirit that is making, constantly Being, flowing,
expressing, moving.

Rest in this aliveness. Make way for this expression of the
Is-ness as you.

GOD ANSWERS ALL

God works in mysterious ways,
he gives us all the answers,
we make the choices.
Sometimes, our choices are not
the greatest,
but we do the best we can,
with what we have.

God gives us the ability to think,
for ourselves.
To love and have emotions,
to see, to hear, to cry.
He knows when we are trying,
so hard to understand.

God gives us love, he gives us
everything we need,
to be successful in life.
He gives us forgiveness, when we fail,
He gives us unconditional love.

Sometimes our prayers, we think,
go unanswered, but he answers all.
Sometimes we ask for what we
don't need at all.
His unanswered prayers, are likely
the very best of all.

SKYLER

Skyler and I love springtime, when we can plant flowers, and watch them grow. We both love to get out in the garden, mulch, weed, and water our plants. This year, the snow just don't want to stop.

We are looking for snow again tomorrow with temperatures in the 20's. Easter is here, and its not the first time I have seen it snow on Easter. I will be going on a trip May 2, and won't return home until sometime in June. So........what I want to do is help him plant the flowers so that he will not miss me while I am away, he can tend to the plants.

In case you do not know, Skyler is six years old, and he loves his grammie very much.
We play together, and plant together, and we even pray together. He is the apple of my eye.

HAVE A WONDERFUL EASTER!!
