21 Century Love

Where is the compassion, and the caring in love today?? Do we even really think of true love, anymore?? Is it all about sex, nothing more, nothing less.

When I was a young girl we were virgins until marriage. If not we were branded whores, and no good man would marry a whore. Now we have freedom of everything, including "free love" or is it just sex? Does it matter anymore if you love someone to have sex. Is it now just a way of personal enjoyment, with or without a partner.

Times have really changed, and not necessarily for the better. Till death do us part us to mean "till death do us part". Now it just means till I find something I like better.

Why get married? It cost a lot to get a divorce. The heartache that comes with it is not a good thing either. One person gets hurt, the other has no compassion.

Now that love means nothing but sex, and the words "I love you", means I just want to be in your bed, whats left?? Whats next??

Queen of Sheba??

It was stated today that Egyptologist think they have identified with certainity the mummyu of Hatshepsut, the most famous Queen to rule ancient Egypt, found in a humble tomb in the Valley of the Kings.

When I went to Egypt, this was one of the places I failed to visit and hope some day to fullfill the dream of returning there to visit this place, along with Aswan Dam.

I will await the findings on this new mummy, and I will talk about it later. If it really is the Queen I wonder why it was not in a much more elaborate surrounding?

"Where is the Romance?"

What is love?? And what does it mean to you?? Not so many years ago, when you said those three little words, "I love you" it was more than just a passing fancy. It was not said lightly, and it was said very seriously.

Now time has changed, the words "I love you" is the favorite love words of all countries. Even if they don't speak English, they understand those three little words. And the bad part is they say them without any commitment, without any remorse, without caring if the person they say it to believes them.

With the days of the internet, comes the opportunity of falling in love online, and to many, people that is a sad mistake. I have had a couple of friends that have managed to get together and to get married. But the fight that they had because of cultures, families, and Countries, made it really hard for them.

If you fall in love online, you must be prepared for heartache, even if the love is real. Most of the time, it is with someone who is so different in beliefs, and in social background that it will never work. And at the very least it will cost you a fortune if he/she is from another country.

I am writing this to just tell you to be careful what you wish for!!

Do you Believe?

My spiritaulity has been in question for quite some time. I know that I amaze people because, I believe in one God. But I have a hard time believing in a Holy Book of any kind. I have a mind of a skeptic, and I do believe that words repeated over time, either in print or by mouth, loses some of its meaning. I do believe in guardian angels, because I met mine, it was a scary situation, I thought I was having a heart attack, and she appeared out of nowhere, took my hand and started to calm me down. She did'nt look like an angel, she was just an ordinary person. After the ambulance arrived, my son wanted to thank her, she had dissappeared just as fast as she had appeared. So yes, I do believe and I feel I am truly blessed.

Krishna!

Read a friends 360 blog today, and it was about Krishna, and the religion handed down from generation to generation. Our belief system really centers on what part of the world we were born. I think we all believe in a supreme being, but call him different names.

Krishan is the supreme person, the Godhead. (in certain parts of the world) Krishna is the speaker of the Bhagavad-gita recognized throughout the world as one of mankinds greatest books of wisdom. In the gita, as it is also known. Krishna says repeatedly that he is God Himself, the sourse of everything.

Arjuna, to whom Krishna is speaking, accepts Krishna's words as true, adding that the greatest spiritual authorities of all times also confirm that Krishna is God. Traditions have carried Krishna's teaching down to present day.

Now all of us have a free will, our God........(whoever he is) gave this distinction to us. We can worship God in anyway we want, and we do. Some folks tend to resent us for our beliefs, but we are still given the right to believe as we wish. It makes us no less, or no more a human being, connected to one God.

We are~~~~~~~~~~

We are everlasting energy~~~~~~~we are a people of all beliefs, and we are love. Our spirit, our souls, are forever telling us to love one another, we are all from one source. We are connected, and even death will not seperate us.

The world is full of turmoil, and its greed, nothing more, nothing less, yet we are one..........each of us will learn when the time comes, that you cannot kill energy. Even the earth is angry, we see all kinds of torment in other countries, because we give all this negative energy to each other.

Time to realize that we must, listen to our heart, love with our souls, reach out for the infinate.

And Then I woke Up!

Everything is perfect,there is world peace

freedom of religion, expression, age, and to

love whom we choose.

The war in Iraq is over, everyone is happy!!

The air is clean and we can breathe.

I can walk the streets of the city,

in the dead of the night,

and not be afraid.

Everywhere you look you see smiling faces.

How great the day is and the sun is so

beautiful!

Time for A long walk all alone,

without fear,

And then I awoke!!

It was all a dream, Nothing has changed,

the war is still raging, and will be for years to come.

We have all our so called freedoms,

but people still have their prejudices, and

frown upon those who are different.

And sometimes, smiling at someone on the street,

just brings a snub of the nose, and they look the other way.

"DANCE RECITAL"

LAST NIGHT WAS CARRIE'S DANCE RECITAL, IT WAS WONDERFUL....EVERYTHING FROM MODERN TO BALLET, AND ALL IN BETWEEN. TWO HOURS OF OUR YOUNG PEOPLE AT THEIR BEST.

THEY WERE SO PROFESSIONAL, AND BEAUTIFUL. AGES FROM SIX TO EIGHTEEN. ALL PARENTS AND GRANDPARENTS ALIKE WERE IMPRESSED.

"SOMETIMES WE DO STUPID THINGS"

Sometimes, we do stupid things in our life. Things that have no reason, or no purpose. I am retired, and a very good person, but even I do foolish things.

I want world Peace, I want to have friends of all faiths and from all cultures. My foolish mistakes are made from too much trust. Oh, yes, you can trust too much. Not everyone you meet in cyberspace is out for the good of the world.

I guess, in my early days, I was protected from the bad people in the world, and as I grew up, I still did not see bad people. Only good people in bad situations!

But, now I must admit, there is truly bad people in the world, and some people who dont want to see the world Peaceful, because it is not in their best interest. We can change how people feel about us (as americans) one person at a time.

When you keep on living and loving, life goes on. When you stop living you die!

"LOVE YOURSELF"

I have reached a conclusion, at long last. No matter how hard you try, you cannot change someone's attitude about themselves.

If things, go wrong, they jump on the "pity party wagon" and invite all their friends along for the ride. They tend not to think of all the blessings in their life. All they think about is the now!! Remember~~~~its not all about you!! To love someone else deeply, you must first learn to love and forgive yourself.

Three simple points: The truth
Forgiveness
Self-love

With just these three points, the whole world will heal. Just imagine if people would be truthful to themselves and to others. Forgiving themselves and others, and start loveing themselves and others. What a great world that would be.......

This is what Jesus called "Heaven on Earth." Budda called "Nirvana", and Moses called, "The Promised Land."

We are what we are!!

Each of us are products of our inviroments, each of us start our life as a clean chalkboard, for everyone to write upon. Sometimes, we can erase things over time, and sometimes we cannot. Some of the best memories, and some of the worse will be with us forever, and will never be erased. These are the things that will have the biggest impact on our future lives. It makes us who we are good~~~~~or bad!

Try to make good memories on small minds, just being alive and in this world, gives them enough bad. Be kind to every child you meet......they are your future. If we install enough love into the minds of children, all over the world......our world will at some future date, be safe, peaceful, and full of kindness for every other human being. This is where understanding begins, and hatred ends!

You may walk down the street at some later time in your life, you see someone from your past~~Your memory of him/her comes flooding back, is it not much better if its a good memory, and he/she walkes over and give you a big hug. Much better than a bad memory that makes them glance your way, and silently walk away.

If we could leave this world with only good memories, on the minds of all our friends, families, and lovers. We will have been a success in life, no matter how rich or how poor. The people we leave behind will remember us with a smile, when our name is spoken, how great would that be?? Sounds good to me!!

For the Love of a lifetime

She stood, looking out over the sea, her eyes glazed with tears, her lover on the other side of the world. In this day of technology this happens more and more, and it hurts just as much. The heart knows no boundaries, and the head cannot stop the heart. Love emerges from across the oceans to the words on a tiny screen.........the love is real, the heart is yearning, she hopes that someday soon she will get to be in his arms.

Self-Improvement

Sometimes in our quest for self-improvement, rather than feeling better, we feel worse. It can increase one's stress, and feeds the belief that we were not as good a person as we thought we were. It has been proven by scientist, that we use such a small portion of our brain, that if we could just harness the energy from another portion, we could work our own miracles in our life.

Telepathy is just another portion of our brain, that we have not fully developed. With practice, you could tune into a loved one, you would not need a telephone to tell them that you love them.

The meaning of the word telepathy: phychic phenomena by which communication occurs between minds, (mind to mind communication). Such communication includes thoughts, ideas, feelings, sensations, and mental images.

Most often this occurs in incidents of crisis, when a relative or friend has been injured, or killed. A person feels the danger from a distance. Telepathy is related to you emotional state. Studies have shown that most of the time women are the receivers. Because women are more in touch with their emotions, and rely on intuition more than men.

Just something to practice and to think about when the person you love is thousands of miles away but very much enbeded in your heart. The heart is strong, but the mind is stronger, if we work them both to our advantage, when our loved ones are far away, we can almost touch, feel and taste them.

What are u most afraid of????

In today's world, I think all of us are afraid of something, and I think that most of us are afraid of commitment. Whether its a job, a lover, a friend, or a vacation. And do you know whhy we are afraid?? Because the world is so insecure, the politics, the images we see everyday, all around the world. Its makes you afraid to commit to anything~~~~~

Its hard to say that tomorrow we will feel the same about anything, because the world keeps changing, and much to fast! What is right today, may not be alright tomorrow!! Is there anyone in this world who is committed to a project and follows it through to the end~~~where are you??? I need you!!!
